I was commissioned by NYC Pride to create the 2023 Pride Grandstand Backdrop. The grandstand is where the iconic NYC Pride march starts. I performed my 37th hair painting with an original score and freshly sewed overalls in Marsha P. Johnson Park in May. Then this 6 ft x 10 ft hair painting was photographed and enlarged, resulting in the over 25 ft tall backdrop to celebrate this year’s parade.
